I'm a design leader with twenty years in. I build products, brands and design systems, along with the teams behind them. I'm as happy tuning a delicious easing curve as I am untangling how a business works.

Open to leadership roles and hands-on contract work.

My Design Ethos

Cheap to Fail

I invest early in the foundations, setting up the right tools and systems so designers can noodle freely, try ideas quickly, and fail cheaply.

Most of the time, ambiguity doesn't go away, so the goal isn't avoiding it, it's building what lets a team move through it with confidence.

Design as a Partner

I treat design as a partner in the business, not a delivery function.

Working closely with the teams around me, I make sure what reaches design is grounded in validated information, not assumptions.

Part of that is unblocking what gets lost in translation between business and design.

In the Work, Not Above It

I set the bar for craft early, and work alongside the team to keep it there.

That doesn't come from hierarchy. In the room, we're all designers, and everyone's opinion carries the same weight.

Expertise

Clarity inside the rules

Heavy constraints don't put me off. The rules shape what's possible, and my focus is keeping the product clear and usable within them.

Teams built to last

From early hires to how the team works day to day, I've built and scaled design teams, and set them up to hold their standards as they grow.

Decisions backed by evidence

Data, metrics and user research ground my design decisions, so direction comes from evidence rather than opinion.

Foundations behind the experience

The design language comes first. I put the foundations in place, tokens, components, motion and patterns, so teams can move fast without losing coherence or brand feel.

Moving faster without losing craft

Streamlining how design teams work, including piloting relevant AI tooling, so exploration and delivery move faster.
